Velocitize your web marketing

Adword Seminar Leader

I received a letter from Google AdWords the other day looking for AdWords Seminar Leaders. We’ve got a Google Qualified Individual on our team and it looks like they are either sending these letters out to all or maybe selected individuals in various regions.

Now that you’ve proven your expertise with the AdWords system, we’d like your help in teaching other advertisers to effectively use Adwords.

As an AdWords Seminar Leader, you’ll help others learn the ins and outs of AdWords while further establishing yourself as an AdWords expert and industry leader.

Google goes on to say that they will be compensating for the time but “haven’t yet determined the amount”.

I have not read of anybody else getting one of these, so I’m curious who did.

Let the Pole Position Marketing team help you velocitize your web marketing, expand your online presence and grow your business through SEO, PPC, social media, as well as consulting, speaking and/or in-house training. Contact our pit crew at 866-685-3374.

FYI, I received a similar letter in December. I politely declined as I was frustrated with Google at the time due to some poor customer service. I’m in the Baltimore/DC region. Sounds like the same letter was sent. Here’s the letter I received:

    Dear Google Advertising Professional,

Do you have a passion for educating others? Would you like to train and
empower other advertisers to effectively use AdWords on their own? If
so, then we want to hear from you!

The Google AdWords team would like to tell you about a new opportunity
available to Qualified Google Advertising Professionals. Now that you’ve
proven your expertise with the AdWords system, we’d like your help in
teaching other advertisers to effectively use AdWords. We’re looking for
energetic, passionate Google Advertising Professionals to lead several
one-day seminars in locations throughout the United States.

As an AdWords Seminar Leader, you’ll not only help others learn the in’s
and out’s of AdWords, but you’ll further establish yourself as an AdWords
expert and industry leader. We’ll also provide you with a dedicated
Google contact to keep you informed of new product features and well-
    equipped with up-to-date training materials.

Below, you’ll find instructions for submitting both the written application
and a short 2-minute video presentation on the AdWords feature of your
choice. Please note that only individuals over the age of 18 are eligible
for this position. Compensation for your work will be given, although the
amount has yet to be determined.

Please send your completed application to our team by January 15,
    2006.

    Sincerely,
    The Google AdWords Team

Stoney, if you guys do become seminar leaders, please post about it. I’m curious to see who is the primary beneficiary: Google, SEM company seminar leaders or seminar attendees. Thanks. BTW, did you try a game of TagMan? ;-)

Probably won’t, as I got other things on my plate that are more important. Also, we have not been able to figure out who in the office is actually certified. I had one of my employees go through the course but they used the company Google login. The letter came to my home address rather than the business address and I never looked to see who the envelope was addressed to.

I did play the game. Pretty cool!
