Ask offers Blog Search
Hey, you're new. We like you already! You obviously have great taste! If you like what you read here you'll probably want to subscribe to our RSS feed (or the audio RSS feed). Stick around and be sure to speak up and post a comment or two!
Ask Jeeves now offers a Blog aggregation service resulting from its recently finalized aquisition of Bloglines. The service is designed to scrape information from a variety of sources like News Blogs, and make it user searchable. A unique feature of the Bloglines service is that it offers an Internet interface for users and so can be accessed from any Internet connected computer.
Google began offering a Blog service two years ago with their aquisition of Blogger. However the Google Blog service is directed towards providing users with tools to manage and publish their own Blogs. Here we can see that Ask has borrowed a sound competitor concept and built a unique offering from it (Attention Yahoo!).
