Google Blog is touting a new toolbar for MS Word that allows Bloggers (Google’s blogging system, not bloggers in general) to create their blog posts in Word. This enables Bloggers to use Words spelling and grammatical checkers, as well as to write posts offline for later upload.
Pretty clever, I must say. When I was on vacation last week my hotel lost Internet access for a couple of days. I had ideas for a couple of posts but without Internet access I couldn’t get into the online system. I didn’t even think about writing the posts in Word or another text file to upload later. Though I don’t use Blogger, this new toolbar will definitely come in handy to many who do.
