Business lessons can be learned from anything, anywhere, anytime. And the smart business person knows this. As for the show itself, you're right it is entertainment and most of these situations never exist in real life but that doesn't mean that it doesn't take savvy business skills to get results or that business principles cannot be gleaned for real world application. But I really don't think that there are any valid business lessons to be learned from the show. The participants do not operate in the real business world.
