Carol does not have that power and Baldwin as we saw has none of it either (well, other than calling his older brother). I don't like the way they're making it look "The good all American cowboy against the pathetic and nasty Britt". Since America loves happy endings it could well be Trace who's going to win this thing, which in my opinion will suck. It's funny how people don't realize that many times the more someone looks "pleasant" the more nasty baggage they have and all that smiling face and nice personality is just a mask. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people that are all "happy and nice" go nuclear once things are not the way they want to be. I'd rather work with a person who is "Frank" with me and a bit blunt than to have someone "play a role of a sweetheart". Therefore I'd trust someone like Pierce more than someone like Baldwin.
