Don’t Ask Google

Hey, you're new. We like you already! You obviously have great taste! If you like what you read here you'll probably want to subscribe to our RSS feed (or the audio RSS feed). Stick around and be sure to speak up and post a comment or two!

I just wanted to comment briefly on the recent announcement that Google Answers will stop accepting new questions this week. From my own experiences I can say that the personal benefit of browsing Google Answers was largely entertainment oriented and so perhaps Google has outgrown this experiment.
Fortunately the archive of answered questions will remain online.

My only regret is that I just became aware of this from your blog post. I’ll have to peruse the archived answers to find more of those entertaining posts. I also must say that you phrased a great headline.

I’ve used, or I should say, attempted to use, Google answers twice before. Both times to no avail. Not a single response.
