Google Image News
Look at you, you came back! We knew you just couldn't keep away for long. Why not make visiting us easy by subscribing to our RSS feed (or the audio RSS feed). Stick around and be sure to speak up and post a comment or two!
Recently, I was browsing Google News and noticed the newest Google innovation: Google Image News. The site can be accessed via Google News and clicking on the link on the left navigation. I typically read news clips throughout the day using email, local newspaper cites, and larger entities. Unlike browsing the morning edition of the paper, it can be difficult to quickly browse a news website and find articles I find interesting. The main reason behind this is that I am more quickly drawn to images and graphics than plain text.

Google has now been able to better reach news readers like myself with its image news. The site allows users to roll over a table of pictures and on the right side a textual news clip appears. The site is very unique in that it makes browsing through news headlines completely user-friendly.
As you try to increase the usability of your site, try to incorporate quality graphics and images. This can aid sales and increase conversions. In addition, always try to appeal to those who like to read straight content. It’s very important to have a strong reach to all types of users.
