Marios, I know exactly how you feel, but I think that's what I kind of like about twitter. It's not really about business. It's a glimpse at what anyone happens to be doing at the moment. Too me, twitter isn't so much about business networking as personal relationship building.

I can say there are quite a few things that I don't like about it... it should not be used to have conversations and I gotta be willing to turn it off while working. too much going on to be checking twitter all day. I'll just go in and check it periodically when I have time.

I too was late to the Twitter game. I used it for 2 weeks and even signed up for the Twitter-IM notification service. Some of what came through was useful, but a lot of it was a waste of my time. A lot of "conversations" about going to Pubcon, waiting in the airport, stuck in a cab, sleeping in, waiting for room service, and such stuff. Every few seconds my IM window would start blinking distracting me from my work. I still check in with Twitter now and again, but the IM notification has gone bye-bye.
