The team work is a subject which is delicate and close.Sometimes it is hard to develop in a group if you do not follow the rules.
Your lessons learned are worthwhile. And I am impressed by the third one -never give someone a reason to lay the blame on you.

Hmm ... I imagine it to be a funny one, BUT you will offend people (saying "no" to heaven...).

Nevertheless ...

"If you do not offend someone every day by 1:00pm, you're probably not doing anything at all"

You have a point about the negative, though some of the funnies commercials have gone that route successfully. There is a recent one by DirecTV, with a tag line of "Nobody should have to live wtih cable." It's a negative, but I loved it.

Lenny was on the right track with the voice over, but he didn't defend himself well against the concept or immune himself about the voiceover in the boardroom. It's too bad, because Trump seems to have it in for him.

With further reflection of my heaven idea, I can see St. Peter welcoming some guy into heaven and giving him the full tour. Pearly Gates, Streets of Gold, Crystal Sea and then hands him the keys to the mansion. Somehwere along the way the guy looks down and sees all the fun that is going on in the Norwegian cruise ship. He asks Peter if heaven has one of those. Peter says no, which causes the guy to say somethign like "I'll be back in a week", tosses the key to his mansion and leaves heaven... headed towards the Norwegian cruise.

Needs some polishing, but I think it works!

Stoney ... I'd back you up on that idea with the heaven and the guy still wanting to get on that cruise. Very interesting idea/concept. Most importantly ..... there is no "negative" there.

That's the thing ... we see commercials and every time we see them, they leave a bit in us (hopefully). If there is something negative there ... it will stick with us ... so the bottom line is .... stay away from any negative image in your commercials. The 30 second spot that Synergy came up with was a bit immature in my opinion. Show how bad it's here and how good it's there. Kind of reminds me of those cheap cable commercials done by the stores around the corner.

Regarding the voice over ..... I couldn't believe my ears when Lenny's suggestion regarding the voice was dropped. Big mistake. People don't always sit and read your 30 second spot, so why would you loose those that are still listening?

Stoney ... if we combine companies, we'll be immune. ;-)
