That aside, I agree that IM is a great way to communicate with coworkers. Even though we do work in relative close proximity to one another, anytime you want to show someone a site you're reading, zipping the IM over to them is just a click away. No one has to get up and leave their workstation to look over your shoulder at the site. That aside, I agree that IM is a great way to communicate with coworkers.
