Outback Needs to be Taken Out Back

You know, I have already found the Outback radio commercials (and shorter TV versions) to be quite annoying, but this latest randition is VERY annoying! Has anybody else heard this blatant rip off of that song by the band Of Montreal? Quite frankly, until 5 minutes ago I have never even heard of Of Montreal nor their song, but that song just stuck out in my head as ridiculously annoying. Am I the only one that finds Outback’s marketing strategy with all these songs extremely annoying? I must admit it does get me thinking about Outback, which is effective marketing in that regard. But in my mind, I’m associating bad music with Outback… not good marketing in that sense.

Not sure about the radio ads, but they guy on the television ad is annoying, he doesn’t even sound like an aussie, more like someone from new zealand…
