I decided to take my team to PubCon this year. Historically, I go to a conference about once every five years, but PubCon will be my second in 2006. I took one of my guys to SES San Jose back in July, but it looks like the whole office will be heading over to PubCon. With a registration price of under $500, if you register online, its extremely affordable compared to some of the other major conferences.
In case you are wondering what PubCon is, it is a search engine marketing conference, put on by the good folks over at Webmaster World. It looks like they have a line up of over 115 speakers, many of the same ones you’d find at SES. Looks like they got enough sessions to keep us busy for the three/four days.
For more information check out the PubCon site. The dates are November 14-17 (Tuesday-Friday), though Friday seems to be a lazy day with only one session. A perfect opportunity to either get back home or get an early start on a Vegas weekend.

I find it very helpful when you can take few people from your organization. Usually at these conferences there are multiple sessions that go on at the same time. Choosing only one can be a hard choice.
What I’d suggest is splitting up and making your people take notes … (blog). This way when you ask to see what they’ve learned, they won’t tell you that it’s just in their heads. It can also be on paper.
I though about recording these sessions on a small digital recorder. (I don’t know if that’s allowed).
See you there.
Definitely! Everybody splits up and goes to their own sessions and takes notes for blogging!
