I rarely work with brand new sites, i.e. those only a few days old, so starting the republicanpride.com site I mentioned previously has been pretty interesting from a search marketing perspective. The first link to that site was from this blog. Over the weekend I submitted the site to several blog submission sites. By Monday I noticed that both MSN and Yahoo have indexed the site each reporting three backlinks.
I’ve also been looking to see when Google caches the site. While using the cache lookup with the Google toolbar, the last cache date is January 23, but running a search for republican pride, the site does show up with a more recent cache. Anybody else have any issues with the cache command?
I’ll likely be reporting on this site a bit more as I see how the search engines interact with our marketing efforts, which are limited by the amount of time I have to spend on it.
