Only four months until Christmas. Do you have your holiday keywords? The ones that everything is going buck-nutty over? The ones that people will pay a fortune over so that they can assure themselves that their site will get more traffic? Yeah, those keywords.
Bill Wise and Dave Pasternack have written a humorous, yet true article about “The High-Stakes Game of Alternative Keyword Lists”.
“Largely, high keyword prices are a natural, if very ugly, byproduct of market forces. Just like everything else in the Most Retail-ful Time of Year, high holiday demands drive up prices. As the kids say now days, true ‘dat.
“There really is a way out. Often, with a very heavy dose of creativity, you can substitute a lot of less expensive keywords for a few very expensive ones. Just a little creativity might be enough to do the trick! So get out there and come up with some really good, yet cost-effective keywords!
