SES SJ 2006… So Was it Worth it?

The SES conference in San Jose was well worth the cost in my opinion. This was my first SES and I have to say that 90% of the sessions benefited me in some way. It is always beneficial for us as a SEM firm and our clients to be on top of the latest trends and methods in our industry. It was also fun to see real live people that work for mega companies such as Google and Yahoo. The conference has sparked many new ideas and strategies, some of which I have already started to implement in my day-to-day SEM related work.
And I of course cannot forget to mention the networking! We discovered completely by mistake that there’s another SEM firm a short drive away, and were able to establish a relationship with them which will benefit the both of us. This conference allowed for awesome networking opportunities with our industry peers.

Many people go to SES just for that …. Networking.
At the SES NYC 2005 I actually sat at the same table during lunch with a VP of marketing from a company we wanted to do a Joint Venture with. What a coincidence? About 50 tables are in the lunch area and we end up at the same one.
