The SEO Reputation Problem

Shari Thurow talks about how she was inadvertently labeled a spammer.

Kristopher B. Jones talked about some of the “SEOs” that claim to guarantee top rankings in a short period of time.

Jonathan Hochman talks about SEOs selling things they don’t own (such as wikipedia links). He calls it fraud. He says we should call out spammers when uncovered.

Kathleen Feely talked about SEO from the small business perspective, particularly from those who feel they have been burned before.

Jennifer Laycock talks about those that use and abuse social media for their own purposes without engaging in the community.

Not a valuable session overall. Nothing here that I didn’t already know and there were no real solutions, just a lot of complaining. Oh well. Time for dinner.
