For the past several weeks I’ve had an ongoing conversation with a reporter about a possible story. She found me through one of my articles that got published on Web Pro News.
After about a few weeks of her putting her story ideas together and talking with her editor I finally got the call for the official “interview”. I have to say that I was a bit nervous. Not nervous about doing the interview but nervous about the end result. During the conversation I noticed that she was not recording but rather typing things that I said. Several times I had to repeat sentences so she could jot it down. Of course more often than not I forget “exactly” what I had said causing me to rephrase.
Overall, it was a good experience. I think everything went well and the finished piece should be interesting. I’ll post a link to it here when/if its published.
Anybody have any horror stories regarding conversations with journalists?
