Tips for Sucking Up to the Boss

I have been many things in my life, but never much good at sucking up to the bossman. I have an inherent problem with authority and had the term “insubordinant” associated with my name on more than one occasion. It’s not so much that I have an “attitude problem,” it’s more akin to… well, I couldn’t come up with anything flowery and obtuse so we’ll just have to stick with “attitude problem.”
So I’ve decided to compile a list of my tips for sucking up to the boss:

1. I have no freakin idea.
2. Are you serious?
3. A cold day in hell my friend.
I would appreciate any suggestions or additions to this list. If I could get a good bunch of these compiled, I might get a raise.

I have definitely worked in environments where sucking up was what management really wanted. If good ol’ fashioned hard work doesn’t impress your boss, then start looking for another job - s/he will always have you jumping through hoops.
