The following pages are for testing purposes only. The information therein is simply our personal notes on each test. This test was established May 2, 2006 with this page last cached April 24, 2006. All the pages below are new.

• 5/4/06: Page cache was updated today but for the date of 4/30.
• 5/9/06: Page cache was updated today, showing a cache date of 5/6. None of the new pages are showing that they are cached as of yet.
• 5/15/06: Cache updated 5/13. None of the new pages are showing that they are cached as of yet.
• 5/16/06: Now showing a cache date of 5/11. None of the new pages are showing that they are cached as of yet. Yahoo now showing one page in rankings for 'reciprocallinksarenotdead', MSN shows two, all are the pages above, not any pages being linked to.
• 5/19/06 - MSN has picked up Bruce Clay in the results for 'reciprocallinksarenotdead'. Noteworthy, the page linking to this site is High Authority, non-reciprocal and uses a keyword in the link. Also, this is NOT a page MSN shows in it's cache.
• 5/22/06 - lots of developments over the weekend. Google visited again with a new cache date of 5/21. A search for the keyword on Google now pulls up this page with a snipped from 5/16/06. None of the new pages have yet to be cached by Google. MSN now shows BatteryStuff above Bruce Clay in the results. BatteryStuff is reciprocating to PPM and is considered a high-authority site for the purposes of this text. Also note that the link to batterystuff does not contain keywords while the link to BC does.
• 5/23/06 - Google now ranks this page for keyword, showing a snippet from 5/16. Other pages still not indexed. No changes on MSN or Yahoo.
• 5/26/06 - Google cache showing a may 22 update. None of the notes from 5/19 on are showing on the cache. Google has still not followed the links to these pages. MSN showing a new site (EMP) as a result for the search phrase. This is a low authority site that does link back. This site is linked from the page MSN is showing #1 for the result.
• 5/30/06 - Google cache updated for 5/27. Still no indexing of the new pages. I have changed the links above to bullets to see if that helps anything. MSN has picked up Up North and tuttibella (rankin 3rd and 5th) for the keyword. Tutibella is a high-authority site and we do not use any of their keywords in the link.
• 5/31/06 - Today this page is showing a cache date of 5/28. No changes otherwise. I have submitted all the new pages to Google SiteMaps.
• 6/1/06 - Today this page is showing a cache date of 5/29. No changes otherwise.
• 6/2/06 - The Google cache has reverted back to 5/27. Yahoo is now showing one of the linked pages in results for the keyword.
• 6/5/06 - Google's cache updated to 6/2. Still no caches for the new pages. MSN showing all but one page in it's index
• 6/6/06 - Google reverted back to a 5/27 cache.
• 6/8/06 - Google shows a June 3 cache. but still no cache of the internal pages. MSN has removed several sites from it's results. Looks like EMP, batterystuff, both sites which are linking back.
• 6/9/06 - Google cache updated to June 7. Pages still not indexed. MSN has indexed all pages but only three of the linked to sites show up in the results.
• 6/12/06 - Google cache updated to June 9.
• 6/15/06 - a new low authority, non-reciprocating site is at the top of the search results on MSN. As of right now MSN shows all non-reciprocating sites in the search results, no reciprocating sites and all but one of the ppm pages. Yahoo has added one more PPM page in the results for a total of three.
• 6/16/06 - Google cache updated to June 14.
• 6/19/06 - Just realized that two links went to the same page, corrected. ALL pages (except for the one which was not linked) are not appearing in Google's search results for keyword. Google cache of 5/30. MSN showing all pages in results (exception again) and Yahoo is showing four. Only MSN shows linking sites in search results for keyword.
• 6/20/06 - Google cache reverted back to June 7 for this page, cache date of linked pages unchanged, however none of these pages appear in Google SERPs today. MSN added EMP but dropped BC in the search results for keyword.
• 6/21/06 - Google cache updated to June 19. only this page shows in search results for keyword.
• 6/22/06 - All eight pages are back in Google SERPS (still missing that mislinked ninth page). No other changes.
• 6/23/06 - Google reverted to a June 18 cache and now shows only this page as a result in SERPs. Articles pages still showing a 5/30 cache.
• 6/26/06 - G cache of June 22, all eight pages back in SERPs showing as supplemental, but definately cached.
• 6/28/06 - G cache of June 26.
• 6/29/06 - G cache of June 22 (again).
• 6/30/06 - G cache of June 28.
• 7/3/06 - G cache of July 1.
• 7/5/06 - G cache of July 3.
• 7/7/06 - G cache of July 5. MSN now has all nine pages cached and showing in results as well as five of the eight sites linked to in results (two reciprocating, three non-reciprocating).
• 7/10/06 - G cache of July 8.
• 7/24/06 - it's official, reciprocal links are not dead! this page has a G index of 7/21. Internal page show an index date of may 30 (still). Google now shows four sites in the search results, two which link back to PPM, two which don't. I'll be watching to see if anythign appears/dissappears over the coming weeks. MSN shows five sites in results, three reciprocating, but has also seemed to have dumped many of the linking pages. Yahoo now has five of the nine pages cached for this search.
• 7/26/06 - all non PPM pages removed from search results for this search.
• 8/1/06 - linked pages have been jumping in and out of Google, today they are out. This page has a 7/29 cache. Yahoo is showing seven of the nine PPM pages indexed. MSN has all nine indexed and showing results for all eight linked pages, a reciprocal being in the #1 position.
• 9/12/06 - Most of the pages are showing in Google as omitted results. I'm going to make some changes to these to see if I can get them out of that. I have moved things around on the page putting links in different places in the content and changing page length.
• 10/23 - link to BS shows up in Google results. This is a reciprocating link. Also noticed that link to BBB has been removed, I have replaced that today.
• 10/25 - Five of the eight sites now show up in Google, RD, IS, CSI, BS, and BC. The link that I thought was supposed to go to BBB actually should be pointed to tuttibella, where it was originally set. I realized this today and made the change. I found that tuttibella site was still ranking with MSN and Yahoo.
• 10/31 - all linked sites are not gone from Google results.
• 12/14 - Website re-design caused us to temporarily lose Google indexing for the control and the test pages. As of today Google is showing all of the control pages, but no test pages. MSN is showing all control and test pages. Yahoo is showing almost all of the control and test pages. It is interesting to note that both Yahoo! and MSN rank test pages (which do not contain the term) above the control pages which do.
