Perception Index (P.I.)


Perception Index or P.I. is a proprietary technology developed by Jason J. Green (of Pole Position Marketing), to serve as a novel approach to search engine reputation management.

Background and Development of P.I.

The method was developed as a tool for measuring the common topical perception of an Internet object. Here an Internet object can be a word, phrase, web page or even an entire website. Three distinct scores are calculated for a given object. They are:

  1. Consensus Accuracy: The degree of alignment existing between an Internet Object's self-perception and popular Internet opinion.
  2. Object Popularity: The dominant image and perception of the object.
  3. Perception Stability: The projected stability of the object's popularity.

P.I. technology has proven to be a reliable and intuitive technology for handling search engine reputation management.
