Blogs Mean Big for Business

Many businesses now days are using blogs to create a strong relationship with their customers. But how many of those customers click on the link to the blog off your webpage? Not as many as the number of people who would visit the blog if the URL was on a business card, I bet. This article by Wayne Hurlbert talks about just that.

“Since a business blog is a powerful marketing tool for your business, it makes perfect sense to have business cards that feature your blog and its URL.”

“Instead of your blog being treated as a lark, it will be treated as a real online business website. Because there is still so much misunderstanding out there, about the nature of blogs, it’s imperative that your blog be treated as a business.”

“Whenever you attend any networking event, large or small, take a stack of business cards with you. Hand them out freely, as you would links to interesting blog posts. Business cards aren’t there to be hoarded.”

Max Speed

If the Pole Position Marketing team had a muse—and it does—it would be Max Speed. We love Max’s occasionally off-color, usually amusing and always pointed “Maxisms.” (Maybe “Maxims” would be a better word.) Max gives voice to some of the things we think but, bound by professional decorum, aren’t permitted to say. At least, not out loud.
