The Best Damn Web Marketing Checklist, Period 2.0: What’s New?

The Best Damn Web Marketing Checklist, Period! just turned 2 last fall, which can only mean one thing: Time for an update! Version 2.0 is hot off the presses for your reading pleasure.

“Already?” you ask. Well, yeah. After all, two years (actually, it’s more like two and a half, but who’s counting!) is practically a decade in digital marketing time. Plus my staff, who have helped me compile information and edit both books, needed something to do.

Just kidding, team!

The good news for the Pit Crew (and me) is that the old version actually held up pretty well. In general, we only had to make minor changes and deletions from the existing material. However, there was a lot to be added. Here are some new things you will find in the 2.0 version of The Best Damn Web Marketing Checklist, Period!:

  • Greatly expanded ecommerce information. The book has six chapters devoted specifically to ecommerce considerations as well as other relevant points throughout the book.
  • Updated mobile section. As mobile continues to evolve, so must our to-dos in this area of digital marketing. You’ll find an expanded mobile-friendly chapter as well as updated advice throughout the book.
  • Visual/video guidance. No digital marketing book in 2017 would be relevant without extensive advice about visual and video marketing. Points have been added throughout the book, and there is a whole new chapter on YouTube optimization.
  • PDF optimization points. Just as HTML web pages should be optimized for search and users, so should PDF documents on your website. We’ve added a whole chapter on this often overlooked area of digital marketing.

There are many other new things to discover in 2.0, including a brand new foreword by our friend and industry influencer Andy Crestodina. But why read about the changes when you can see for yourself?

Go to Amazon now to get the Kindle version or a hard copy version to keep at your desk. And don’t forget to download the companion Best Damn Web Marketing Cheat Sheet presented in PDF format so you can easily print it and check off the points.

We hope you enjoy the latest version of The Best Damn Web Marketing Checklist, Period! We’d love to hear what you think in the comments below.
