Book Review: Million Dollar Websites by Rebecca Murtagh

Million Dollar Websites book review

Without being intentionally self-promotional, Million Dollar Websites seems to be a perfect companion to my own The Best Damn Web Marketing Checklist, Period! Where my checklist covers the how-to aspects of web marketing, Rebecca’s book provides a great resource detailing the why.

Million dollar websitesBook Review: Million Dollar Websites: Build a Better Website Using best Practices of the Web Elite in E-Business, Design, SEO, Usability, Social, Mobile and Conversion
by Rebecca Murtagh

Million Dollar Websites is an incredibly thorough web marketing handbook that every business owner should have on their shelf and/or pass to their web marketing team. Murtagh helps you understand the reasons us web marketers do what we do, and her book really makes the case for investing in a solid web marketing campaign. There isn’t a single chapter in here that every web marketer and business owner won’t find valuable.

Starting with the idea that every business owner wants to (and should) build a million dollar website. Rebecca walks you through the ins and outs of having and marketing a website properly. You’ll learn how to plan for success while avoiding mistakes that can take you out of the game before you even begin.

For those of you who want to really understand SEO, content and usability issues, you’ll find a goldmine of information here. Rebecca also helps you understand that building a winning website is a team effort. While everyone on your team should read this book, it’s only when they all work together that you will be able to build your own million dollar website!

  1. Thank you Stoney for the outstanding review and reinforcing how important building the website is web marketing – topics you cover so well in your book.

Million Dollar Websites and The Best Damn Web Marketing Checklist, Period! DO compliment one another beautifully – like wine and cheese, or peanut butter and jelly…good on their own, yet better when paired together.

The chapters and worksheets are written to be a timeless and valuable resources to the business owner, marketing professional and webmaster planning a new website or website redesign. After all, the structure is only as good as the foundation – and you cannot decorate (design the interface) until you have a solid plan that will meet the demands of users (customers) and navigate the ever-changing guidelines of search engines (SEO being one of my areas of expertise).

The book is available for purchase as Kindle or paperback on Amazon. Your readers can purchase the book $5 cheaper than Amazon here: http://milliondollarwebsite.tv/the-book/

    Thanks again.
