You’ve undoubtedly heard it a million times:
Jesus is the Reason for the Season.
Keep Christ in Christmas.
Santa Didn’t Die for Your Sins. (I thought I was being clever with this one but, clearly I’m not that original.)
Lets face it, though, we need those reminders. Every year it seems like we get further way from the true meaning.
But keeping Christ in Christmas doesn’t mean we have to reject all of the gifts, get togethers and other things we enjoy about Christmas. Nor does it mean we are disrespecting those who have different beliefs than us. It’s simply about remembering why we choose to celebrate Christmas. Amidst all the hustle, bustle, frustration, and stress of buying gifts, attending party after party, and over eating, take a moment to reflect why we do all that:
To celebration of our Savior’s birth and the love that he demonstrated to us.
So go ahead and give those gifts, but give them with love. Have your Christmas events, but remember as you do it what the real “event” is. It’s not so much WHAT we do but HOW we do it, with love and joy, that matters.
From all of us at Pole Position Marketing, we wish a Merry and Blessed Christmas!
