Velocitize your web marketing

SEMpdx: My Speaking Debut

Well, it looks like I’m the last one to the party! Both Matt and Rand have posted their reviews of SEMpdx. Me? Well, I like to take a day off first!

First off I want to thank the folks at SEMpdx for the invite. It was an absolute privilege to be asked to speak and even more so to be put on the same stage as Rand and Matt. This was my first time meeting them and both are terrific guys.

Overall, the event was a lot of fun and the organizers did a great job of putting it all together. Every presentation I attended was fantastic and I think that the attendees certainly got their money’s worth in information.

I sat on the Advanced SEO panel with Rand and Matt which was a lot of fun. This was my first time speaking at this kind of event and being on the same stage with these two veterans was an incredible experience. Both of their presentations were packed with great information.

I also want to shout out to my new BFF Rebecca. I saw her sneaking pictures of me up on the stage and since I have not seen them up on the website yet, I can only assume they were for her own personal collection! Seriously, Rebecca, I owe you McDonalds!

Again, I just want to say thanks to the organizers. You did an incredible job!

I’ll post the video once it’s available. Oh, and anybody who wants the PDF version of my presentation can download it here. Just look for it in the right-side navigation!

    Stoney,

All of us at SEMpdx were delighted that you attended and spoke at Searchfest. While Rand & Matt might have had a bit more panel experience than you, you did an excellent job and more than held your own with the “veteran panelists”. Great job!

For those interested in more of what went on at Searchfest:

    1) I will post “Barry Schwartz”-style blog summaries of the Searchfest speakers that I saw at the SEMpdx blog (http://www.semportland.com) by next Monday morning (which will include your presentation).

    2) We will be making audio & video available from Searchfest reasonably soon. We will be making DVD’s available for sale, as well as posting some audio / video online for free. I don’t have all the details yet…however, when they become available, we will post them to the SEMpdx (http://www.sempdx.org) website & inform everyone on our email list.

If you wish to be added to the SEMpdx email list, please opt-in at our website. We encourage all of the EMP blog readership to visit our website and learn more about SEMpdx.

Hey congrats Stoney. Did you listen to my advice (http://www.bizmord.com/Blog/archives/180) and flipped everyone a finger ?

Where is the PDF presentation? I don’t see it on the right side (other than keyword research PDF)

Sorry, the PDF I was referring to was the keyword research PDF. My presentation was pulled from that document.

As for flipping anybody the bird, that would be a NO!

You all should’ve seen how Stoney showed up us “veterans.” The SEMpdx gang gave us this hi-tech laser pointer/PPT remote control gizmo. Rand was totally lost and ended up needing Ben Lloyd to manually change to the next slide. I was mostly lost and kept pointing the darn thing at the screen when I should’ve been pointing it at the computer. And then Stoney gets up and not only does he figure out the PPT remote control part, but he also CORRECTLY USES THE LASER POINTER. Smooth as silk. It was incredible! :)

Stoney – great to meet you, dude. Can’t wait to hang out again.

Great, I’m going to be known as the guy who knows how to work a laser pointer! But hey, if that gets me just one new client it was all worth it!!!
