A New Trend for the Skies

For some reason, all of a sudden, it seems that airlines have decided to redesign their sites all around the same time. I mean, it’s a good thing that they do this because they give their customers more choices and options online, but it’s kind of interesting that they’ve decided to do it now.

Maybe I’m just blowing this out of proportion. So far, I’ve just read that two airlines have re-vamped their sites; Delta Airlines and AirTran Airways.

AirTran just “enhanced” their site, giving their customers many more options such as viewing fares at multiple airports in the same city at one time, adding an A-Plus Rewards number to reservations during check-in if they forgot to use it while booking their flight, and more. They unveiled the new site on August 1st of this year.

Delta also launched their new site on Monday, giving customers more control over online ticket changes, seat assignments and check in.
