Hitting the "Keyword Target" of Marketing

J.K. Bowman’s Spider Food has some great articles about web site marketing and optimization. There are a number of these articles that range from finding your target audience to optimizing keywords for your audience to optimizing page titles. Just keep clicking the “Next” button and the information keeps going!

“It’s important to note that while websites can be rewarded for proper use of keywords, they can also be penalized for the improper use of keywords.”

” If we can get fringe traffic, that’s fine. We’ll take it . If we have the time and budget to work for fringe traffic (and it’s profitable) , we’ll do that too. But that is not where we are going to set our sights. Nor are we going to be fearful of going after the phrases that are the most valuable to us.”

“That is what makes optimization ‘phrases’ and not ‘keywords’ so important. This is also known as keyword proximity. Sites with the word(s) in the exact order as searched for tend to pull before sites that just contain the words.”
