Technical Do’s and Don’ts for Your Mobile-Friendly Site

How to make your website mobile friendly

By now, you know that your website should be mobile friendly. Not only is Google increasingly favoring mobile-friendly sites, but you will also have a hard time keeping mobile users on your site if it isn’t usable from their devices.

If you are like a lot of people, the “techie” stuff involved with making your site mobile can be daunting. But it’s not as hard as it sounds.

I spoke on this issue at SMX East 2015, along with Google Webmaster Trends Analyst Gary Illyes and Searchmetrics, Inc., Founder Marcus Tober. My part of the presentation specifically focused on the more technical aspects of making your website mobile friendly.

If you weren’t at SMX, you can still view my slides below. Check out them out to learn:

  • How to chose a mobile configuration
  • Common mistakes
  • The responsive design configurations
