Unlike a web page that can be edited after you’ve published it, once you hit “send” on an email message there’s no taking it back. Remember the adage, measure twice, cut once? Well, that goes for email marketing as well.
Proof twice, send once!
If you make a mistake, you won’t get a chance to take it back.
When sending out email marketing blasts, it’s a good idea to have one or two other people proof and edit each message. If that’s not possible, read it aloud to yourself to make sure it says what you intend.
It also helps to print out your message and proof that way. For some reasons it’s easier to catch mistakes on paper than on the screen.
