Review: SEO Book

SEO Book

I “met” Aaron in a political debate over at Search Engine Watch Forums several months ago. While we may not agree on the issues, we do tend to agree a great deal when it comes to SEO. I recently had the opportunity to read Aaron’s SEO Book and I can say that I was very impressed with not only his thorough knowledge of SEO but his ability to write about virtually every important aspect of optimization in a easy to read and understand format.

SEO Book isn’t just about SEO but it’s about effective marketing of your site to the search engines. Covering just about every conceivable detail of search engine optimization, Aaron also provides great marketing tips and ideas as well—ideas which I am already putting into practice.

One of the most impressive parts of Aaron’s SEO Book is that he goes beyond general SEO and marketing knowledge and has a firm grasp on the many (and I do mean many) SEO/M related tools and resources available. Want to know what tool works and what doesn’t? Aaron has probably seen it, used it and has provided his feedback within.

I can’t imagine finding a more singularly comprehensive and up-to-date resource as this. In an industry that changes almost daily, Aaron had done a phenomenal job of keeping up with current trends, and technology changes. And once you purchase SEO Book, Aaron provides a lifetime of free updates so you never have to worry about your version ever going out of date.

My version of the book had more than the occasional typo and minor grammatical error. Aaron is not a professional writer and sometimes his thoughts are not presented in the most linear fashion, however, the quality of information provided is enough to overlook such minor infractions. Do not let that keep you from purchasing this incredible resource.

Even if you already “know it all” SEO Book will provide a great refresher as well as creating some “I knew that, but why aren’t I doing that?” moments. I heartily recommend SEO Book to anyone performing SEO today—from beginner to advanced—whether you’re performing SEO on your own site or a professional optimizing for your clients, or just looking to keep up so you know what your SEO is talking about! At $79, SEO book is well-worth the investment.
